You don't have to do anything really, except make sure you have a proper mix of antifreeze, whatever kind the owners manual call for and 50/50 distilled water. If you live where it gets very cold, like 40 below, use a 60/40 mix. Motor oil use 0-20W in cold climate, 5-30 not-so-cold
