I just took at look at Consumer Reports.org for you...The 2009 Venza was rated as a "Good Bet" and recommended by CR. It has excellent reliability ratings across the board for the 2009-2012 model years. I think it's a nice looking vehicle, but I think it confuses people, since it looks like a station wagon and also looks like an SUV. If you like it...I can't see any reason why you shouldn't get it.

I have owned a 2009 Venza since October 2009. I'm a low mileage driver, it only has about 45,000 miles on it, but it's hardly caused me any problems at all. It has a very smooth ride. The first recall came out not long after I bought my Venza and I was concerned. But I've never experienced any of the problems that brought on the recalls. I would recommend this car. I like how much the cargo area holds and if I'm at the grocery store and it starts to rain it's nice to have the back hatch to stand under while I put the groceries in the car. I hope I've helped.
