Battery corrosion

Asked by GuruBXQ5Q Dec 23, 2018 at 08:12 PM about the 2009 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed both positive and negative terminals
on battery have corrosion, on a 09 Accord.
Do I need to connect a battery tender before
disconnecting the battery to keep the
settings? Reason I ask is I’m afraid if I
disconnect battery, then I may not be able to
start the car after battery reconnection

Which kind of battery tender would you recommend? I saw a video online the guy connected it to the battery cables before disconnecting the cable from the battery

I use a tender that connects to your OBD2 port and another cars cigarette lighter.
