evaporator hose?

Asked by mtnweathergirl Jul 31, 2012 at 09:24 PM about the 2009 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi all, it is me again with the 09 jeep liberty 4x4.  I have another question regarding my jeep.  The carpet is finally drying, but, there is one spot the size of a half dollar bill, that seems to stay wet.  I put a sham-wow underneath the floor mat to see what would come up.  The wet is clear, with no smell.  Could they have kinked the evaporator hose when putting the dash back after fixing the heater core?  I don't want to go back to my mechanic without an idea that makes sense?  Thanks for all your help, I look forward to hearing from someone.

I had a Grand Cherokee that was always getting the right front floor wet. I felt it was from the A/C but couldn't find from where. I found the drain hose was fed through the frame and was clogged. Because of this, the water was backing up into the car. I fished out the old hose and routed a new hose down the firewall. Problem solved. I hope yours is that easy. Good luck.
