A diesel will run in the direction it is started but how on earth did you get the starter to spin backwards? The Bendix gear on the starter will not engage the starter ring if spun backwards by a reversed polarity starter. On semis we would start a diesel backwards by coasting backwards in maybe third gear and pop the clutch. Your injector pump might be way out of time. Better call your diesel mechanic.
I have a 2009 Kun26R 3L turbo diesel Hilux with a timing issue. I have checked 3 timing marks on the timing belt but it still runs in reverse. Any ideas?
