Are 300's or Charger's bad cars?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have been looking for a new car. I have a 1994 4runner I want to try and sell for
$3,000.I've been looking at newer 4runners because I love mine but don't think can afford. I
need a $10-13,000 car. I've been seeing a lot of 300's and chargers with good miles in that
price range. Are they crap?

They've stepped their game up. I have a 2010 charger which has been good to me as I have been poor to it (got the hemi and awd) and the only issue I've had was changing out the front rotors after 4,000 miles....awkward. The new ones are extremely comfortable and well laid out, not to mention extremely sexy. All in all, I'd get one. If you can, awd is nice, but rwd (rear wheel drive) is decent

Stay away from the 2.7l v6. Keep to the 3.5l v6 and above. The 2.7 was known for seizing on old sebrings.

Yea, I've definitely been Reading not to get 2.7. Thanks. I have to find what years are best. Can't get a new one but have seen some '09's in my price range.

Get any LX platform (Magnum, Charger, 300) with about 70,000-100,000 miles for prices between 10,000 and 17,000 dollars. My Charger R/T is reaching 100,000 miles and is still going strong. I will need to change out the original struts and brake pads soon. As long as you listen to your car, take care of it; it will take care of you. The 5.7 and up is where the fun is. If the 5.7 or 6.1 is just a little more than the 3.5, go for it. They all get about the same gas mileage anyway minus the 6.1. With my mods for my R/T, I can get 25-28 highway miles with MDS deactivated. My R/T is an everyday driver that runs on 93 octane. mods: heads, camshaft, LSD, 3.08 rear end, 2800 stall, headers, GHL catback, CAI, custom tune
