Nissan Altima- Regarding the "Service Engine Soon" light- what are the odds that my gas cap is not tightening like it should? Just replace to find out?

I had a nissan altima for ten years. check engine light finally went out after replacing cam and crank sensors, and most important primary catalytic converter. The reason for the catalytic converter is because once it goes out usually around 140,000 miles the baffles are sucked into the engine, because of the design of the engine. I replaced mine before it would destroy the engine.

That "Service Engine Soon" light" has nothing to do with the cap, that's is for things like an oil change and other maintenance the car may need!

Actually the manual states clearly that if the cap is loose...then the "Service Engine Light" will come on but eventually fade when the cap has been tightened.
