How do I go about in adding an extra 12volt outlet in my 2009 Jeep Patriot?

if you want to add an extra cigarette lighter style outlet you would want to have a circuit for it with it's own fuse. hooking into an existing wiring harness or splicing into an existing circuit is a bad idea because you will easily overload the circuit you add into.

Not knowing where you live this might not help but at Canadian Tire you can buy a direct wire 12 V outlet (like a cigarette lighter) .The package says it's made by Casco (whoever they are) Maybe you could check Crappy Tire or a similar type store.
