Clunking sound in console after replacing rear brake pads.

Asked by TCP Nov 17, 2013 at 01:45 PM about the 2009 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the rear pads, front pads were done previously. After reassembly when I step on the brakes there is a clunking noise coming from the console and the yellow dummy light stays on. Any ideas?

The brake warning light. After driving it for a while the clunking has stopped but the light is still on. Fluid level is good and I checked front brakes and they're good. Any idea why the light would still be on?
