Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car recently won't start. I guess the problem comes from EIS or the Key. To
get rid of this problem I may change the EIS in a dealer shop. The question is
do I have to order a new key if I change the EIS? What is the relation between
EIS and the key? (I thought that a new EIS can be programed to fit the key and
the key can be programed to fit a new EIS. Is this right?)

The transponder key is programed into the PCM the vehicles computer. The KEY can do nothing but send its "fixed RFID when induction excites it. regards
