we just purchased a car listed on car gurus from champion buick in brighton, MI. a saturn outlook XR. help! we had only driven it about 150 miles before it started missing and shuttering.
we took the outlook to a GM dealer and had them do a quick analysis on it to see what was wrong and it came up with "PO303" misfire cylinder #3, and P2096 post catalyst, fuel trim? too lean. The service person said that that the 3rd cylinder was not firing, most likely the coil and spark plug would need to be replaced on that cylinder. At the same time that was going on the air conditioner quit working and there was a smokey smell like a burning of rubber, possibly the clutch is hanging up on the compressor, we turned it off and then about 10 min. later tried it again, it was working again for about 2-3 min. and the smell came back and the air got warm again, so it is now off until it gets diagnosed. what should we do as far as contacting the dealer because we bought it with no warranty. these items had to have been known by champion because they said that they had gone through it to make sure everything was safe and ready to sell.please advise. disappointed in saranac, MI Thanks.
