I have cheched fuses for tail lighs and defroster that stopped woking together and fuses look good . I heard a noise like a short under the dash is there wire or relay that cpuld short out

Absolutely, if the fuses are fine, as mentioned in my last answer to you, then it is an electrical issue. I would recommend that you take it to a reputable mechanic or the dealer as electrical issues can be some of the most time consuming and expensive automotive fixes. Best of luck!
