Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I ran over a piece of metal on the freeway and it bent the lip of the transmission oil pan and  caused a leak. There was an "Oil-Changers" nearby so I had it towed there. I got under and bent the pan back and stopped the leak. He replaced 2 quarts of fluid and he put in this small bottle of additive that makes his house fluid into Dexron VI. I've gone a few hundred miles and put a scanner on and no trouble codes come up. Can anyone explain this stuff and is it safe to use ?

1 Answer

yes additive in tranny is fine, what you mean his house fluid to dexron.if it were mine I would have a fluid and filter change to be safe.
