I have a 2009 2.4L Automatic Eclipse. Timing belt broke and in the effort to repair have run across a couple other problems with the rod bearings and the oil pressure light coming on when braking or at a stop/idling. Mechanic is suggesting replacing the whole engine and swapping out the new parts instead of further trouble shooting the rod issue. Also needing to know if the 2009 engine is interchangeable with any other year engines as it is looking like the 2009 is hard to find. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok I have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse gs turbo. It has been sitting up for 10 years. I replaced the ecm computer and the fuel pump relay . It still won't crank. My fuel pump still isn't comming on and I have checked all the fuses that I know to check. The car tries to crank when I pour a little gas in the cylinder. It is driving me crazy trying to figure this out. Any suggestions on what to do now?? 28 Answers

How do I know if my injectors are stopped up or not? The fuel pump should be comming on its new so is the relay. Whats wrong?

I have a 96 eclipse gs and it is giving me a P0300 code which Ive done a lot of research on and changed a few things but still getting code. If I have a 97 motor in it will the ECU read the components, IE: fuel injectors, egr, etc,. wrong or it doesn't matter.? 2 Answers

WE have replaced egr valve cam censer egr control valve but keep getting the same code.

I have a thrown 95 eclipse rod. Should i replax/fix it. Engine swap. Or junk the body for 400 bucks and by a honda prelude? Not to be a cheap person but this time i need to go with that route. 3 Answers
