What is the problem with the airbags?

It doesn't seem like I've have seen any airbags deploy, In any of the Cobalt crashes? that's my question.

Airbags only deploy when the car slows down fast enough for the sensors to send a signal to deploy the air bags. Low speed impacts or slight crashes may not send the signal. You are lucky, as if they deploy it only costs you more money to fix.
