Subaru Forester engine swap

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I swapped the motor out of my 2009 Subaru
Forester with a 2008 Subaru Forester motor 2.5L
non turbo California emissions the car has no spark
and Now the decision comes if the computer out of
the 2008 will make it work or if we need a whole
new computer or what can we do

I would try the 2008 computer. You should also double check all your work.
