right tail light not working

Asked by ScottMG Oct 23, 2014 at 07:39 PM about the 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SL Crew Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra Texas Edition. I broke the lens on the right tail light. All the
lights still worked even though the red plastic was broken. One day I was hooking up
a trailer and trying to get those lights working and at that point noticed that the the
right tail, brake, blinker, reverse was no longer working. Upon closer inspection I found
water standing in the unit from the rain storm the night before. I figured the water
caused a short so I checked the fuse for that light but it was good. Any ideas what
else may have happened?
