How much does the price go down each year on a vehicle with average mileage

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I bought a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara almost a year ago and pricing can be
painful when comparison vehicles are 65% of what I paid. During the new car
sales events there are so many trade ins to compete with. Holding on until
summer might for the right price or let it go and take advantage of the flooded
market.

A Suzuki will go down more than other cars and if you bought it from a dealer you paid a higher price than a private sale so keep that in mind.

If you are concerned about depreciation do your research. Some cars value falls like a rock. Others hardly depreciate at all for a couple of years. Cars that are dependable tend to depreciate less than others that are not so good.
