Toyota knows about this. Bring it back to them and they'll reprogram the ECM

I did take it back and they said that was normal. I will go back again with this information and see what they have to say. Thanks

Explain that you heard there may be a problem with the shifting program. That's all I can say. Have a few customers with same complaint and Toyota reflashed the ECM.

Toyota Dealer in the Service dept. made me pay for the labor costs of over $100 to have this reset. The car is having issues again and it's been one year. The problem seems worse with the air conditioner on and when it's hot outside. Toyota said they could not find any problems with the transmission.

Just to be clear when you say shifting rough in cold weather... are you meaning for example, you pull out onto the street and the rpms keep going up and up more than normal (it would have already shifted) and all of a sudden it shifts and the whole car jerks a bit or lunges forward? If thats what your experiencing thats completely normal... keep in mind when you start driving after the car has sat all night and cooled the transmission fluid is like a thin honey and it takes a min for it to warm up.
