Not a good idea. Your car will be too low and you may break or bend your wheels on potholes.

Smaller tires would look stupid unless you lowered the car. For better handling and looks try a 235/50/17.

You need to keep the overall height of the tires nearly the same or your speedometer will be off. Those 45 series tires will ride much more harshly than the original equipment size tires.
