Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need some advice regarding the oil pressure warning light.  I have Toyota
2009 we are seeing that oil
is reducing and we are getting this oil pressure warning light.  We have
already changed the oil pan gasket timing chain valve
cover. Still, I see the light coming when I slow down and put brakes It is not
coming regularly.

Fixing those leaks is a good move. Keeping the oil topped up with the correct grade is important too. You might try installing an oil pressure test gauge to get a true, accurate reading. If pressure range is normal (20-50 psi?), then you have a bad sending unit giving a false, low reading.

This is the 2.4L engine that has issues with oil consumption. The fix for this other than a new engine is $5,000 piston and rings. Toyota had a TSB for this and even took care of many of these under a campaign clause.
