Was it professionally diagnosed as needing a new motor? Low oil light does not necessarily mean you need a new motor. I'd run some tests and see what, if any, damage was done. as far as a 2011 working in a 2009, most likely yes, but would require the engine computer to be reprogrammed. This is assuming same engines/specs.

The rod bearring broke and my motor started knocking and the car shut off. Then i was told after being looked at and in the process of changing the rod bearring i was told I need a motor

I was referring to other Toyota camrys le when i was speaking about the 2.4l 4-cylinder motor.
