Is fixing a 328i with high mileage a good idea?

Asked by Dirtrider275 Mar 18, 2020 at 12:11 AM about the 2008 BMW 3 Series 328i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would fixing a 328i with 220,000 miles be a
good idea? All it needs right now is front
struts and a thermostat. Other than that it is
well maintained.

Are you buying this car with the idea that this is all that is wrong? Don't bet on it!

You know the car's condition so judge for yourself. Just the struts and thermostat are no big deal.

Just a thought. Do you think it needs a thermostat because it overheats? If so be careful as the problem could be a lot bigger than a $5 fix.
