2008 subaru 2.5i no crank no start after pulling engine out

Hi, I just pulled the engine out of my impreza in order to replace the clutch
fork and after I put the engine back in the car the darn thing does not crank
at all. It only does a rapid sequence of click while I'm trying to crank in. I
already checked the battery and charged it fully, checked the terminal and
that I'm getting power to the starter and everything checks out....still no
crank. Any suggestions? What could I be missing. The car ran fine before
I pulled the engine out. I already checked the main wiring harness going to
the engine, the two leads going to the starter and the ground from the
engine to the chassis. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a bad electrical connection to the starter. Clean and tighten all wires and check your engine grounds.

Chexk battwry voltage, should be 12.4vdc minimum, double check battery cables for for corrosion and make sure they're tight. Look for small ground wires that might've been left off from engine to the body. If everything checks out good and still doesn't start, check to see if you're getting voltage to the starter solenoid and battery hot to the bigger terminal at the starter. If voltage is present, replace starter but is sounds like a poor connection

The brass positive post clamp Subaru uses is subject to cracking and thus not being able to be tightened;as well its two circular contact rings have to be really clean to pass full battery current. Replace with a generic clamp as necessary. I trust you're not trying to use an 8 yr old battery?
lol...no the battery was purchased last year. I want to thank all of you for your help. I finally found what was wrong with the starting system. There is a small wire underneath the solenoid on the starter that had become undone during the time the starter had been removed. I realized this as I was removing the starter to inspect it. Once I connected this small wire, everything worked perfectly. Thanks again for all the help
