What is most important thing about maintaining the electric motor on 2008 Nissan Altima hybrid?

I know how to maintain gas engines but clueless about the
electric motors in hybrid cars. I'm considering purchase of
nissan hybrid and need to know if electric motor is
expensive and difficult to maintain.

Electric motors are pretty easy to maintain. Keep the connections tight and dry. Grease the bearing on a regular. I would assume that it is relatively expensive to replace. Not to many in the scrap yards. Then you have to find someone who can work on it. Look for a US Navy Electricians mate at the American Legion...
