Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was waxing my 2008 Silverado and listening to the radio. Radio stopped. Went
to move the truck and nothing. No interior power, no headlights, won't start.

Ok so it could be, A a bad battery that just went all of the sudden, B dirty cable connections, C bad battery cables. D blown a main fuse. The bad part about loosing all the power is you could also loose the factory presets in the computers, if and when you get the power back if it will crank but not run and some if not all the accessories don't work then you will need to head to the dealer and have the system reflashed. In my area it runs a hundred bucks. HTH

Turned out to be the 175 amp fuse located on the firewall behind the battery. Thanks for the intel.

So it did blow a main fuse, does all your accessories still function as they should? If so you dodged a bullet. Now just hope it doesn't blow again, if it does then your in for a intermittent short problem.

Yes, everything works fine. I hope it doesn't do it again. If so, God only knows where the short would be.

If it does blow again the first thing I'd check is the alternator, I'm thinking a diode problem. Thanks for the points.
