2008 ford f 150 makes a whistling noise when it's cold out .if I accelerate noise goes away till I let off gas then it comes back.

a whistleing sound sounds more like something with your intake alot of aftermarket intakes are more noisey than factory, maybe a hose isnt on properly or some vaccum line has a crack something to that effect. It could be a pulley but all the ones ive seen go bad make a high pitch whinning noise and it doesnt go away beacuse the pulley is always spinning with the motor is running.
