The xf supercharged Jag has a belt driven device, the supercharger, that pumps air creating positive pressure in the intake manifold, as opposed to a vacuum, for more horsepower

The XFR is $15K more. You get 40 more HP and 20 more MPH. Both are supercharged. Check out the spec here > http://autos.aol.com/cars-Jaguar-XF- 2013/overview/

The XFR is sort of like the M-Series is for BMW. It has all the sports upgrades. You can have a Supercharged XF and not have all the bells and whistles.
