Do the Jaguar XF's engine fan have a habit of continuously running a bit after vehicle is off?

Asked by M Aug 07, 2013 at 11:32 PM about the 2009 Jaguar XF Premium Luxury RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2009 Jaguar XF Premium engine fan continues to run for at least 5 min after the vehicle
is turned off. Took it to dealership where I purchased it and they said because the weather
is hot right now this will happen. They said as long as no engine lights are on it is ok.

Ive seen other cars that have this same option. It should turn off several minutes after the car is turned off, its to cool the motor down after use. It also probly helps keep the motor from any possible heat damage.

Yeah, this is normal for several cars. Mine did the same and was never an issue but if you notice the temp rising past the half way mark I would have them check it again.
