Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck is lifted 4" with 35" tires on It this is
the first issue i have had sence lifting the
truck.

1 Answer

When you do a lift is changes the angle of driveshaft(s) and puts more strain on U-Joints, the bend is more severe and putting the power through a sharp angle will shorten the life of U-Joints. Just a thought, might crawl under and have a look, and give them a shot of grease while you are under there. My '76 Ford has 6 U-Joints and I have gone through countless numbers of them, and it's not even lifted but still rather severe bend, and does just what you describe
