I have a 2008 Spectra EX and the transmission looses fluid

Asked by 2greatdane Aug 19, 2014 at 09:31 PM about the 2008 Kia Spectra EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been checking the fluid in the transmission for about two months now and have added almost two quarts of fluid, but there aren't any visible leaks. Chevy used to have a vacuum modulator that the diaphragm would rupture and the fluid would be sucked out and burned in the engine.  Does this transmission have something like this?

Yes there is a diafram, but it will not hold that much fluid,i think you are loosing fluid as you drive, that means, you want see it on the ground when you stop, you will have to go under car and check for leaks around the seals where the axel.s go into tranny.
