If I drive very few miles how frequently oil should be changed?

I drive about 2000 miles/year. How frequently should the oil be changed?

Use to be every 3 months or 3000 miles which ever comes first.(I still do this) But with the new oils some say from 5-7000 miles or once a year. I personally if in your situation would change it at least every six months. Better safe than sorry. But if you are going to go for longer periods be sure to keep a check on the oil level as to not ever run it low. The cost of an oil change is cheap in comparison to that of a new motor.

if all you make is short trips (like me) 1000 miles or every six months~ drivin' short trips means RICH condition for about the first thirty seconds...ends up in your oil~

Themiles on the odometre on my new toyota corola 2018 is changing to fast. I think it has a malfiction.
