when starting engine their is hesitation

Asked by FrankJoanne May 12, 2014 at 03:33 PM about the 2008 Porsche Boxster S RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when I attempt to start the car it frequently will not start despite depressing the clutch and turning the key(nothing happens and the display advises to depress clutch despite the fact it is fully depressed) I must repeat this sequence to get it to start. This is a new development as it worked flawlessly before.

It might just be your clutch switch is going bad.

I agree with Mark. Same happened to my 2009 Carrera and it was fixed by replacing the clutch switch.
