Asked by Felicia Feb 28, 2018 at 01:40 AM about the 2008 Dodge Charger SXT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed oil in my car
added sea foam to oil.
Two days later was
going 75 mph down
hwy. Slowed down to
turn the car cut out
and then died.
Restarted ran for a few
seconds then clanked
real hard and died.
Now want start the
check engine light and
voltage light is on. It
has a new battery. Did
the sea foam damage
the motor? Will the
motor have to be
replaced?

Sounds bad but I cannot diagnose it from your information. As far as I know you only use Seafoam in the oil right before an oil change. Driving it with the Seafoam is not a good idea in my opinion.

so my 2010 Dodge Avenger RT makes a clicking noise on the passenger side when the heater is turned on and even when the car is turned off the car will make the clicking noise what is this a symptom of your help will be greatly appreciated

I have to check and see what the Can reads. I don't recall it saying to add before oil change.

And how much is that? I don't use the stuff so I don't have a can laying around to look at.
