2008 Toyota sienna runs hot when idling

Asked by GuruTBZZG Jun 24, 2018 at 07:23 PM about the 2008 Toyota Sienna LE 7 Passenger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A mechanic recently replaced the alternator
in my car and now it is running hot when I'm
sitting still. The air conditioner also gets
warm when I am sitting still but works fine
as long as I am in motion. I noticed that my
fans are not turning also. Could he have
blown a fuse when replacing the alternator?

Clearly the first thing to check is the fuses. There is a chance the fans were unplugged or the wires damaged.
