2008 sentra spec v

I have a 2008 sentra spec v. My problem is when
I'm driving no matter the speed the car feels like it
is losing all power for a second and then comes
right back it's just long enough to feel it. A lot like it
you let off the gas pedal quickly then push it again.
The problem stops when I turn cruise control on.
Please help. I'm thinking it is a gas pedal sensor.

Well the other day I got in my car and pulled out of the drive way I left off the gas and pushed the clutch to go to 2nd gear and when I went to push the gas pedal it did nothing so I turn the key off and back on as I coasted and the check engine light finally came on the gas pedal worked again I hooked it up the computer and it show the gas pedal was bad. The one for my car cost around $300. I'm a cheap person so I bought the pedal for the ser not the spec v it was only $50 so far so good no problems
