I have a 2008 Toyota Rav4. My heater stopped working after a minor car crash. My mechanic says it is either the actuator or control head but I'd need to take it back to the toyota dealer. Has anyone had a similar problem and was able to get it fixed by someone other than a dealer?

In order to get to the actuator YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE DASH, ITS A BIG JOB
