2008 prius does not start no light on dash

I insert the key fob in dash and try to start the car. The lights in the dash are
fainting... I changed the battery in fob and insert - the lights in dash wont light
up nor  the car start

Check your 12v (auxiliary) battery. Most likely it's time to replace it.
