While driving over 40mph I get a little vibration/shacking and it gets worse when I hit highway curves either right or left curves.

Asked by JS20 Nov 25, 2015 at 01:45 PM about the 2008 Nissan Maxima SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had oil change, tire rotation/balance, rotors, brakes, tire and nothing seems to work. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to repair to stop this vibration, I would appreciate that. Thanks!

Check the front wheel bearings. Are the tires wearing normally or do they have cupping or other uneven wear? Has the car been aligned recently? Tires that are out of round can balance but will cause vibrations.

I agree with full of regrets, have the wheel bearings check and also have the tires rebalanced

I would think it is likely out of round tires or tire with a scalloped edge or edges. Balancing will not fix an out of round or scalloped tire. Certainly I wouldn't rule out a wheel bearing.....
