Is there a switch you have too turn on in a 2008 ford edge for awd

Asked by eagleeyeo Feb 15, 2015 at 10:25 AM about the 2008 Ford Edge Limited AWD

Question type: General

1 Answer

No. No driver controls. When a wheel speed sensor detects a wheel is not turning at the rpm it should be for the speed your Edge is going, it automatically applies power or brake to the wheel(s). It's basically a front wheel drive, unless slippage occurs. That is the difference between AWD and 4X4
