Question type: General

Should I buy a 2008 Ford Focus with
109,000 miles on it. It's in good
condition, but I'm not sure how long
these cars last

Don't do it !!! way to many miles for a car that's only 7 years old, save you pennies and buy something with lower miles...

Well you have to pay for it, & your looking to see if vehicle has been wrecked, & how bad, if the title is a salvage title which means it was totaled out & put back together. Also looking to see if there is a maintenance serves record, that is documentation of care. Also last reported mileage will be on there.

I personally do not have a problem with higher mileage as long as the car was serviced regularly

Save yourself a lot of money if you do a used car value by vin Carfax. When you run the Vin on the vehicle through Carfax value it will give you a indication if he was in a car accident or more of the value of the wholesale and the value of the private party value would be almost similar if there’s a big difference in the price then you know you got yourself a good car. No need to run a Carfax...Is FREE

I have a 2008 Focus that I bought brand new with 25 miles on it. I've changed the oil regularly every 5,000 miles and it has over 275,000 miles on it at this point and is still running strong with very little repairs. Besides replacing basic parts that brake pads, shocks and struts, and sway bar links; the only major repair I've had to make on the car is a new radiator because the original one started leaking when the car got to about 210,000 miles.
