Bogging down once I hit 40mph

Asked by Meredith2004 Jun 24, 2020 at 10:53 PM about the 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. It has stated to
act weird once I got over 40 mph. It is bogging
down and sounds like a moped when accelerating.
It has a multi misfire code. I've changed the spark
plugs, the coil packs and fuel injectors. Still the
same. I am at a loss.

Check the camshaft position sensor. It's the camshaft position sensor's job to find #1 for the computer. If the computer cant find #1 then it throws codes. The P0300 is a random misfire code. When the computer cant find #1 it will randomly shut off one spark plug at a time trying to find plug #1. The camshaft position sensor may be working until u get up to 40mph and does not set the camshaft position sensor code.
