I have a 2008 pontiac G6 with 69000 miles. Sputtering/ shaking at a stop

Asked by mcaron0423 Oct 27, 2014 at 10:59 PM about the 2008 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

this problem happens rare. Every once in awhile it will sputter or shake at a stop and
act like it wants to die. I have new battery and spark plugs, and my alternator and fuel
pump are good. Also after a stop it will have a rough time accelerating and acts like it
wants to die. I am at a loss. No lights show up, and it happens rarely, but is kind of
scaring me. The dealers say that they cant do anything unless I bring it in when it is
doing it which is maybe once every 3 weeks. I've noticed it more when my fuel is
getting low, but is now happening with a full tank. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure about that. They just did a test on it and nothing was wrong with the fuel pump, and I just got the car I am not sure when they were last cleaned. Could that really be causing this random shaking/sputtering feeling at a stop?
