First thing to check here is the transmission fluid level. If it is at proper level look for fluid that is dark. The fluid should be nice and redish pink. The way to check is to take a clean white cloth and wipe the transmission dip stick. If you get a lot of black debris on cloth you have excessive wear in tranny. This causes the system to be contaminated and possibly stick valves or plug pick-up strainer/filter.
