Overheating and battery drain

08 equinox overheating and battery drain, new radiator and
thermostat. No fluid mix. Belt is a little loose but not bad.
Now what?

If the serpentine belt is loose it's not driving the water pump and alternator fast enough for them to be working properly. Fix the belt and go from there. I bet your problem will be solved. Hope that helps! Jim
