DESPERATE... PLEASE HELP !!!!!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 cobalt ls 2.2 liter

I changed the battery but crossed the cables
and then the battery light came on...
Got the alternator fusible link replaced and
fixed that problem...
Two weeks later the anti theft light came
on...The car will start and run but the power
steering goes out and transmission doesn't
want to shift...
I had a used body control module put in and
it worked a few days the started doing the
same thing...
The problem comes and goes....
Can anyone please help ??????

Crossing the battery leads is a serious mistake and could have fried any number of electronic components in your car. You probably need to find a shop that specialized in automotive electrical repairs and have them go through the entire electrical system to find all the components that may have been damaged. Even most general automotive repair shops won't have that type of expertise. Ask around and get a referral to someone who is expert and reliable. They do exist. I have just such a person where I live and he has saved my day numerous times. Prepare for a sizeable repair bill though, this sort of thing can be labor intensive.. Good luck.

If you don't want help then don't ask. What part of my advice was not helpful? Remember I'm not the moron who screwed up your electrical system by making an idiotic mistake. How did you manage to do that anyway, were you drunk?
