when driving 40-45 mph the car starts to rev and decelerate not providing consistent power

Just purchased this car last week, trying to figure out if the problem is major. when
driving around 40-45 mph the car drops power and bounces back up.. it makes the car
slightly bounce power .. like a wah wah wah .. exe..  has anyone had this problem? Im
not sure if it is the transmission or what..

we have a 08 cobalt that doing the same. I replaced the plugs and still the same issue. I just added a bottle of "sea foam" additive I hope this helps but just did it so i am waiting to hope it works
