I have a 2008 cobalt. This afternoon I got in it and the whole interior in the front was drenched in water. The past couple times it has rained it has smelled wet in there but never this soaked.
Is there a recall on a sunroof leak for
2015? The mechanics found that's
where the leak is coming from. The
carpet and all the seats are ripped
out. The sunroof tubes are not
clogged what so ever. My car now
surges, and has electrical problems.
Has anyone else ever had this
problem happen before? It's not
drive able and I'm going to check
with my insurance company to see
what they can do. We got a bad
storm last night and this pretty much
was the last straw with it. It needs to
dry out completely before anything.
Does anybody know how long that
usually takes?

Dry time will depend on your climate and whether or not you're helping it along with fans. Shouldn't take long though with lots of ventilation. I've had water in mine a time or two and it dries out pretty quick. They don't leak when they're new, so its safe to say that if its the weatherstrip that's at fault replacing it should do the job. Have the codes read on your car and that should give you some guidance on what it needs to get it running properly again. It's a machine, it needs some maintenance.
