the turn signals on my cobalt will not turn off after making a turn???

Mine is the same way. Time for a new signal light switch. Might want to change the clock spring while you're in there as well. They eventually go as well (like mine has) and then you loose your steering wheel controls and at least your steering wheel air bag.
