I was driving about 60mph on a highway when I heard a crackling noise in my dash board gauges then the motor ceased running. I coasted to a safe area then tried to start the car with no luck. The battery was fine and all fluids were fine. What could be the problem? Electrical maybe?

First thing to do is to check OBD errors with tester or you can get OBDII bluetooth connector and check with your phone.. If no errors I would say it is mechanical engine problem. Get your car towed to the dealer

This being said it being a audi the gauges go dead your car stops working since thats where all the security is. If you heard a cracking sound that is most likely an electrical issue. Check your gauges and see what lights up and what doesn't Also take it to a certified vw/Audi Specialist shop since rosstech software is what is needed for proper diagnostics of these cars.
